VIEW OF THE WORLD

PAINTING. MIXED MEDIA

In my series "VIEW OF THE WORLD" I deal with the beauty and destruction of our planet, but from a perspective that often goes unnoticed - from a distance, as if looking at the earth from space. My abstract paintings show seas, coastlines, islands, and river courses that have been created by the geological processes of our earth.

The view from a distance changes the perception of what we see. Details that are still noticeable in everyday life - such as the destruction and pollution caused by humans - disappear or are lost in the overall picture. A new image emerges that has a completely different meaning. It shows the Earth not only as a habitat, but also as a dynamic, ever-changing organism influenced by natural and human forces. The image of the world thus becomes a reflection on the relationship between beauty and destruction, order and chaos. Through alienation, the earth becomes a metaphorical space that shows us both its beauty and its fragility. Abstraction serves me as a means of sharpening the gaze - taking the viewer beyond the familiar and enabling a deeper, more reflective engagement with the world and human responsibility.
