ARTISTIC  STATEMENT

My main source of inspiration is the many facets of human existence, such as experiences, thoughts, feelings, memories and desires. I am also inspired by the intricate structure of the world around us and our natural environment, as well as the ways in which we interact with and are shaped by them.

I usually work on several pieces at the same time. The techniques and materials I use for a specific series or theme depend on my creative vision and the desired outcome. Traces of my creative process, such as cracks, bumps and indentations, may be visible in the tactile experience of my works. Conversely, the surfaces may appear smooth yet still contain subtle clues as to how my works were created. My artistic practice encompasses a wide range of approaches, from experimental, process-based works to more conceptual pieces.

My works reflect the aesthetic and emotional aspects of the world, the transience of existence, personal experiences in the context of self-discovery and social issues. They are to be understood as a dialog between light and shadow, between the visible and the hidden.

By addressing the vulnerability of our existence, I aim to raise awareness of the preciousness of life and inspire people to find their own story in the colours and shapes of my work. In our hectic and superficial world, I want to create a space where we can celebrate the beauty of the present moment. My artwork encourages recognition of, and appreciation for, life's fragile facets. This includes acknowledging the small miracles that are often overlooked.

BIOGRAPHY

Klaus Biliczky was born in Dinkelsbühl, which Focus magazine named as the most beautiful old town in Germany.

This versatile artist now lives and works in Neuendettelsau, Bavaria. His work mainly comprises acrylic painting, mixed media and object art.

Art lessons were one of his favourite subjects, and he approached them with a thirst for knowledge, absorbing everything. After completing a commercial apprenticeship, he went on to study advertising graphics and graphic design. He then worked as a graphic designer, product developer and manager in the packaging industry, before becoming self-employed in the real estate sector. However, he has been involved in artistic work since his youth, and it has also been part of his entire professional life.

At the beginning of his artistic career, the artist used surrealist pen and pencil drawings and pastel painting in the style of Surrealism and Fantastic Realism to express his artistic vision. In his works, he dealt with the difficult time of growing up and socially critical themes. An action artist, who was fascinated by Biliczky's works, encouraged him in his artistic work and contributed significantly to his further development. Biliczky co-founded a group of artists who regularly presented their works in exhibitions. This was followed by further training in painting and various printing techniques with renowned lecturers, including at the Wildkogel Academy. The experimental approach exerted a particular fascination on him and led to the discovery of his love of abstraction. He eventually turned to art full-time and now works as a freelance visual artist.
